Bev Smith says, "Don't Let Troy Anthony Davis Die In Vain"
They eulogised Troy Anthony Davis today in Savannah, Georgia and I can not help but hope and pray that we the African- American community do not let his death be in vain. What happened to him was an even greater tragedy because the Supreme Court or as I like to call it the SUPPRESSIVE COURT helped to kill an innocent man. The Black community should be outraged! Troy Anthony Davis was accused of killing a white police officer but 7 out of the 9 witnesses who helped to indict him recanted their stories. You would think that the SUPPRESIVE COURT, the highest court in the land would care to find out if they were killing an innocent man. Sadly, this Bush appointed court cares more about the wording of repressive violent legislation then they do for striking a blow for true justice and hearing what those seven folks had to say. Troy is dead, murdered by the State of Georgia, I believe he was innocent just like I believe Mumia Abu-Jamal is innocent. Troy Anthony Davis cannot die in vain; someone must be willing to stand up for the truth and the value of a human life. Do Ms. Bev a favor, contact your legislator on Capital Hill and let them know that you want them to take a stand for TRUTH and against the injustice of laws aimed only at African-Americans. Don’t let Troy Anthony Davis die in vain and pray for Mumia Abu-Jamal.
